HOCKEY LEAGUE
Hockey League is the perfect introduction to hockey for young players (4-13yrs old), while also providing opportunities for more experienced players to continue developing their skills.
Held each week throughout the season, sessions combine skill-based activities followed by games in a supportive and encouraging environment.
With a focus on participation, teamwork and sportsmanship, players of all abilities are welcome—from those picking up a hockey stick for the first time to those looking to build confidence and take their game to the next level.

Dates: Due to turf bookings, the first three sessions will be held on a Wednesday evening and the final 6 sessions on a Friday evening.

Funsticks – 3.15pm - 3.45pm
Junior League – 3.45pm - 5.15pm
Senior B League – 5.15pm - 7.15pm
Senior A League - 7.15pm - 8.45pm
Cost:
$40/term for Junior & Senior League
$20/term for Funsticks
The club treasurer will send you an email about fees midway through the season.
Bring along: stick, sturdy shoes, shin protection, mouthguard and willingness to learn and have fun!!
Long socks to hold shin pads are useful also. Please make sure mouthguards are fitted and moulded as per instructions so kids can breathe while wearing them.
Loan sticks and shin pads are available if needed, please find these outside the hockey shed at the turf. You’re welcome to loan gear for the season but please fill out your details in the loan book, team shirts will be provided.

The turf is an all-weather surface so we try our best not to cancel.
If the weather is atrocious, a call will be made by 12noon on game day & an announcement will be posted on this website so if you’re unsure - check here first.
If your team chooses to default please make this call by 12noon to allow for a mad shuffle to ensure the kids who are playing get a game. -
They can fill in for equal or higher grades but preferably not lower grades in order to keep play fair

We will have a scoreboard on the night to ensure the score is visible & agreed on by both teams.
The results will then be posted on this page the following day. -

GHL is all about having as many kids playing as possible so we welcome you borrowing players from other teams to make up numbers. If you have to borrow more than 2 players (i.e. you have less than 5 of your own players), your team score will be recorded as default & the opposition team will get the points for the win
